The proposed Sandy Creek Solar Farm would comprise an 840-megawatt solar farm and 3,000 megawatt-hour Battery Energy Storage System. The project is located 25 kilometres southwest of Dunedoo, in the NSW Central West Orana REZ.

PROJECT HISTORY

Apr 2022 Lightsource BP submitted a Scoping Report and requested the Secretary's Environmental and Assessment Requirements (SEARs).
Mar 2024 The Federal Government has issued the SEARs following assessment under Australia's national environment law.
Mar 2024 The Federal Government announced the project has received environmental planning approval and a revision of the planned capacity of the solar farm from 750 megawatts to 840 megawatts.
