TT-Line are developing a third terminal to enable operations of two new Spirit of Tasmania vessels (IV & V). The Terminal Three development, also referred to as the Spirit Quay project, includes delivery of dredging works, new wharf structures, new terminal building, and reclemation area for landside activities.

PROJECT HISTORY
| Aug 2024 | Spirit of Tasmania announced BMD Construction had been awarded the contract to deliver civil and marine works for the Terminal Three development. Additionally, Spirit of Tasmania awarded the contract to deliver terminal works to VoS Construction. |
| Oct 2024 | Infrastructure Tasmania published an report into the project. The report outlined risks to delivering the project on-time, and provided reccomendations to TT-Line to mitigate these risks. TT-Line subsequently adopted these recommendations. |
| Nov 2024 | Infrastructure Tasmania announced the commencement of pile driving works, marking the commencement of main works on the site. |
| 2025 | TT-Line confirmed a revised cost of $493 million for the project in their 2024-25 Annual Report. |
| Dec 2025 | The Tasmanian Government announced that construction had commenced on the terminal works for the project, following the completion of civil and earthworks. |
