The Stoney Creek BESS will be located on Stoney Creek Road, Narrabri, New South Wales, and has a capacity of 125 megawatts / 1,000 megawatt hours.
The project will connect to the existing electricity grid via a short overhead or underground cable to Transgrid’s Narrabri substation.
The project is being developed by Energy Vault.

| Feb 2025 | AEMO Services, serving as the NSW Consumer Trustee, awarded a Long-Term Energy Service Agreement to the project as part of its fifth tender round. |
| Mar 2025 | Energy Vault announced it had entered into an agreement to acquire the project from Enervest. |
| Aug 2025 | The project was formally acquired by Energy Valut following successful approval from the Foreign Investment Review Board. |
