The Stoney Creek Wind Farm is a proposed 166-megawatt wind farm located 80 kilometres south-west of Bundaberg, Queensland.

The scope of the project includes construction of up to 27 turbines and supporting infrastructure, including a battery of unspecified capacity. 

The project proponent is Greenleaf Renewables.

PROJECT HISTORY

Mar 2023 The project received development approval from the Queensland Government.
Oct 2023 Greenleaf Renewables submitted preliminary documentation at the request of DCCEEW for further evaluation.
Dec 2023 The Federal Government approved the development of the project.
Oct 2025 Greenleaf Renewables announced its acquisition of the project.
Nov 2025 The proposed transmission line route for the project was submitted to the EPBC Portal for assessment.
Dec 2025 The Federal Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water determined that the proposed transmission development was not a controlled action and would not require assessment under the EPBC Act.
Apr 2026 Greenleaf Renewables announced updated delivery timelines for the project. Construction is expected to commence in late 2027 and commence operations by mid-2029.
