Jun 2022 | The SRLA announced Construction had commenced on SRL East - Works Package A - Early Works. |
May 2023 | In the 2023-24 Victorian Budget, the previously named Suburban Rail Loop – Initial and Early Works package was renamed as Suburban Rail Loop East – Development, Initial and Early Works, and received $574 million for FY2023-24. The estimated cost of the package also increased by $12 million to $2.4 billion, with construction completion estimated by mid-2025. |
