The Summerfield Battery is a 240-megawatt / 960-megawatt hour battery located in Murraylands, South Australia near Mannum and approximately 30 kilometres from the Tungkillo switching station.
As part of the project, Summerfield is directly developing transmission infrastructure to help unlock the extension of the southeast renewable energy zone. Once complete, this is expected to enable up to 600 megawatts of additional transmission capacity.
