The Sundown Solar Farm development is a proposed 360 megawatt (MW) photovoltaic array to be located approximately 30km east of Inverell, NSW. The scope of the works includes:
- 660,000 solar panels for the intended 360 MW generation capacity
- a 150 MW / 4 hour battery storage system
- a 330kV onsite substation, and
- other ancillary works for the delivery and maintenance of the project.
PROJECT HISTORY
Nov 2017 | A scoping report was released for the project alongside a request for the Secretary's Environmental Assessment Requirements (SEARs). |
Aug 2020 | SEARs were issued for the project. |
Aug 2022 | Supplementary SEARs were issued for the project. |
Jul 2023 | The Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) was placed on public exhibition, closing 3 August. |
