The Sunshine to Albion Package (SAP) of the Suburban Rail Loop Airport (SRL Airport) comprises works in and around Sunshine and Albion stations, including the construction of elevated twin tracks between Sunshine and Albion Junction.
The full scope of work under the package comprises:
- a new viaduct over bridges on Ballarat Road, St Albans Road and Stony Creek
- modifications to Andersons Road rail underbridge
- works between Sunshine Station and the Albion to Jacana Freight Corridor
- upgrades to Sunshine Station including an additional regional platform
- upgrades to Albion Station
- relocation and implementation of rail systems
- modifications to existing substations
- diversion, relocation and protection of existing utilities, and
- connection of the Principal Bicycle Network and the Strategic Cycling Corridor.

Pre-qualified registrants were expected to participate in the EOI process from late April, with a procurement briefing to be held in May. Two shortlisted bidders from the EOI process would would then participate in the Request for Proposal (RFP) phase. |
