The Queensland Government’s publicly-owned CleanCo is developing the Swanbank Clean Energy Hub.
As part of this site, a 250-megawatt (MW) / 500-megawatt-hour (MWh) Swanbank Battery will be constructed on site of the former Swanbank Power Station. The lithium iron phosphate battery will comprise 138 battery modules, and will connect to the electricity grid via a new 275kV substation.
Yurika is providing infrastructure and installation, and Tesla is supplying the batteries for the project.
