Bus services in the Greater Sydney Metropolitan area are divided into 15 regions, serviced by individual contracts. Historically, these contracts have been operated by a combination of the State Transit Authority and private operators.
Bus Contract Three is currently operated by Transdev and covers the south western suburbs between Lidcombe, Granville, Bankstown and Liverpool.
Contract Three will be procured as part of Transport for NSW's upcoming procurement processes for 10 out of the 14 Greater Sydney Metropolitan Bus Contracts.
The contract will be procured in Tranche Two alongside Contracts Three, Five and 10. Transport for NSW have indicated that all four contracts can be procured together in a joint bid.
