Renewable Energy Systems are proposing a 500MW solar farm and 500MW/1000MWh battery storage project near Gulgong NSW within the Central-West Orana Renewable Energy Zone.
The Project will include the construction, operation and decommissioning of the proposed solar farm and battery energy storage system. It will also include construction of operations and maintenance buildings, as well as enabling civil works and electrical infrastructure required to connect to the electricity transmission network.
An 11 kilometre overhead transmission line will be built to connect to the electricity transmission network and the project would share a 330kV substation located to the north of the project site with the proposed Barney's Reef Wind Farm project. Renewable Energy Systems is also the project proponent for the Barney's Reef Wind Farm project.
