The proposed Tarong West Wind Farm would have 500-megawatt (MW) capacity with up to 150 turbines and be located at Ironpot, 30 kilometres south-west of Kingaroy, within the Southern Queensland Renewable Energy Zone
Following construction, the project would be owned by the state-owned Stanwell Corporation.
