The Te Rahui Solar Farm is a proposed 400MW solar farm at Rangitāiki near Taupō, New Zealand. The project has been proposed by a Nova and Meridian Energy Joint Venture, and will be delivered in two 200MW stages. Works include solar array installation, grid connection infrastructure, and associated facilities.

PROJECT HISTORY

Apr 2024 Nova received resource consent.
Dec 2024 Meridian Energy and Nova Energy announced their intention to form a 50-50 joint venture to deliver the project.
Sep 2025 Meridan Energy and Nova Energy announced joint venture agreements had been finalised, with $300 million debt financing secured from ANZ, BNZ, CBA, MUFG and Westpac. Additionally, Beon Energy was awarded a contract for the construction and initial operations and maintenece of the project.
