The Upper Hunter Baterry Energy Storage System (BESS), proposed by Maizewood, is a proposed energy storage project to be located near Aberdeen, NSW. The scope of the works includes:
- construction of a BESS with up to 400 megawatt / 800 megawatt hour capacity
- overhead or underground cables, and
- installation of a switching station and associated infrastructure.
