Vodafone New Zealand Tower Sale

Vodafone New Zealand, wholly owned by Brookfield Asset Management and Infratil, has commenced a sale process for 80 per cent of its passive mobile tower assets under a new TowerCo. Vodafone New Zealand has the largest tower portfolio in New Zealand, which comprises 1,484 mobile towers, covering approximately 98 per cent of New Zealand's population.

Mar 2022 Vodafone New Zealand announced the commencement of a market engagement process for the sale of 100 per cent of its passive mobile tower assets and the appointment of UBS and Barrenjoey as advisers.
Jul 2022 Vodafone New Zealand announced it entered into an agreement to sell 80 per cent of its passive mobile tower assets under a new TowerCo, to InfraRed Capital Partners (40%) and Northleaf Capital Partners (40%) for NZ$1.7 billion (AU$1.54 billion).
Nov 2022 The project reached financial close.
