The WA Government has allocated $1.8 billion to a Special Purpose Account for a new Women and Babies Hospital. The location of the new hospital will be at the Queen Elizabeth II Hospital campus, north of Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital G Block, and will replace King Edward Memorial Hospital, WA’s only referral centre for complex pregnancies.

The scope of works and designs will be determined by a detailed business case and project definition plan, which were expected to be completed by the end of 2022.|
