The WWSP will deliver a number of upgrades to Auckland's water supply. The full scope of the programme comprises:
- a new 150-MLD water treatment plant
- a new 50-megalitre reservoir at Pukekohe West
- a 50-kilometre pipeline, including the crossing of the Manukau Harbour, and
- three additional pumps and sand separators for the raw water intake.
