Wallaby Creek Wind Farm

The Wallaby Creek Wind Farm, proposed by ACCIONA, is located 10 kilometres south of Narromine in Central West New South Wales in the Central West Orana REZ and spans approximately 8,000 hectares.

The proposed project would comprise a 250-megawatt wind farm with up to 44 wind turbines and a 100 MW / 200 megawatt hour battery. It is proposed that the project would connect to Essential Energy’s 132-kilovolt Narromine South Switching Station, located approximately 10 kilometres north of the project.

2020 Feasibility and investigations began.
Jul 2023 ACCIONA submitted a Scoping Report for the Wallaby Creek Wind Farm project to the NSW Department of Planning and Environment for the Secretary's Environmental Assessment Requirements.
Aug 2023 SEARs were issued for the project.
