The proposed Wambo Wind Farm, located near Jundowae within the Queensland Southern Renewable Energy Zone (REZ), will be delivered in two stages. Stage One will include a 252-megawatt wind farm comprising 42 turbines. The scope of Stage Two will comprise an additional 41 turbines with 254-megawatts of additional generating capacity.
The project is a joint venture between Cubico Sustainable Investments and publicly-owned Stanwell Corporation.
