The project will see the delivery of a new resource recovery and re-use complex within the Western Treatment Plant. The upgrades will increase the plant's capacity by almost 50 per cent.
The scope of work includes:
- a facility to treat and recieve tankered waste
- infrastructure to reduce the frequency of odour intensive maintenance works
- a liquid waste facility to receive waste from industrial customers, and
- works to divert sludge from aerated ponds.
