The Whaleback Ridge Renewable Energy Project, located around Lake Pieman near Zeehan in western Tasmania, will involve the establishment of up to 500 wind turbine generators, with a projected generating capacity of 3,000 megawatts (MW).
The first stage of the development would see the delivery of approximately 45 turbines with a renewable energy capacity of 288 MW.
