The project will see Windsor Road upgraded to triple carriageway between Mile End Road and South of Commercial Road. The upgrade is being delivered to accommodate additional traffic expected once the New Rouse Hill Hospital opens.
The full scope of the project comprises:
- widening Windsor Road to triple carriageway between Mile End Road and south of Commercial Road
- upgrade four intersections including signalised intersection at Commercial Road and a new hospital access road
- southbound busway between Commercial Road and Northwest T-way
The project is being delivered over two stages. Stage One comprises hospital access works and will be delivered prior to the opening of the new Rouse Hill Hospital, which is expected to commence construction in 2026. The remaining scope will be delivered in the Balance of Works stage. The successful contractor is expected to complete both stages.
