Western Sydney Airport – Bulk Earthworks Package

Bulk Earthworks Package consists of:

  • decontamination works (excluding the early earthworks site)
  • construction of an on-site containment cell to manage asbestos contaminated soils and other contaminated material
  • bulk earthworks, including approximately 22 million cubic metres of cut and fill, and
  • trunk drainage infrastructure to manage rainfall runoff.

Aug 2018 The Federal Government opened Expressions of Interest (EOIs) for the works package.
Nov 2018 The Federal Government shortlisted three consortia for the works package - a CPB Contractors and Lendlease joint venture, a Ferrovial Agroman and QH & M Birt joint venture, and Salini Impreglio.
Sep 2019 WSA awarded the CPB Contractors and Lendlease joint venture with the contract.
